Raving Brands buys Flying Biscuit, intend to franchise

<p>Atlanta-based Raving Brands says it has bought two Flying Biscuit restaurants in Atlanta with the intention of franchising the eatery into a chain.</p><p>"Flying Biscuit is quirky, genuine and fun _ just right for the Raving fans that have come to love our restaurants' great food and relaxed atmospheres," company president Steve LaMastra said in a statement.</p><p>Raving Brands currently owns Moe's Southwest Grill, Doc Green's Gourmet Salads and Shane's Rib Shack.</p><p>LaMastra said the plan is to open 50 Flying Biscuits in 2007 and another 50 the following year.</p><p>The acquisition allows the company to get into the breakfast category for the first time.</p>
