The Tigers added five runs in the fifth inning, highlighted by Travis Storrer's double that scored Tyler Colvin and Taylor Harbin.
Miami (23-10, 8-4 ACC) scored its only run when Blake Tekotte stole third and advanced to home on a throwing error.
