The 18-year-old is a 6-foot-4, 206-pound redshirt player from Germantown, Maryland. He was suspended for violating team rules on March 2nd -- a day after he was charged with public intoxication, underage possession of alcohol and destruction of property in an incident on Tech's campus.
Whitaker pleaded no contest to the charges on March 23rd and the judge ruled that he would wipe the three misdemeanor charges from Whitaker's record if he stayed out of trouble for a year.
He also has to pay to fix a broken dorm window, serve 25 hours of community service and attend alcohol awareness classes.
Whitaker joined today's spring practice.
