CLEMSON, S.C. - Josh Cribb pitched a complete game, striking out nine, as Clemson beat Maryland 3-1 on Friday night.<br>

Adrian Casanova was 2-for-3 with a double and run scored for the Tigers (22-8, 7-3 Atlantic Coast Conference). Clemson tallied nine hits, with eight of its nine starters recording a hit.<br>

Mike Murphy's ninth-inning single scored the only run for the Terrapins (14-18, 6-10).<br>
<br>
Andy D'Alessio single in the second gave Clemson a 1-0 lead. In the eighth, Herman Demmink scored Casanova on a double on an 0-2 count after failing twice to bunt. Taylor Harbin then had an RBI single to give the Tigers a 3-0 lead.<br>

The tying run got to the plate in the ninth for Maryland, but Chad Durakis grounded to second to end the game.<br>

Cribb (6-0) faced 104 batters, allowing six hits and a run to earn the win.<br>
<br>
Maryland starter Casey Baron (1-3) allowed three runs on eight hits in just over seven innings to get the loss.<br>
