<p>Outdoor outfitter Cabela's plans to build a store in Adairsville, Ga., about 55 miles northwest of Atlanta.</p><p>A Cabela's news release said the store could be open by fall next year, pending legislation in the Georgia General Assembly.</p><p>The legislation clarifies a Georgia law regarding the sales and use tax collection responsibilities of out-of-state businesses, said Joe Arterburn, a Cabela's spokesman, on Thursday. Also, he said, the legislation "helps clarify how out-of-state businesses deal with in-state contractors and contractor-related issues."</p><p>The new store would occupy about 40 acres of a 400-acre development near Interstate 75 and Georgia Highway 140 and employ 300-350 people.</p><p>Cabela's has 14 stores nationwide. It also is building or has announced plans to build stores in Boise, Idaho; Glendale, Ariz.; Richfield, Wis.; Hazelwood, Mo., Gonzales, La.; Reno, Nev.; Wheat Ridge, Colo.; East Rutherford, N.J.; East Hartford, Conn.; Hoffman Estates, Ill.; and Montreal, Canada.</p><p>Cabela's is based in Sidney.</p>
