DURHAM, N.C. (AP) Danny Otero pitched a complete game to lead Duke to a 4-2 win over Maryland in an Atlantic Coast Conference game Friday.<br>

Otero (3-0) picked up his third victory of the season, holding the Terrapins (4-7, 1-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) to one earned run on seven hits in 9.0 innings of work.<br>

The Blue Devils (5-8, 1-0) took a 2-0 lead in the second inning on an RBI single by Adam Murray and RBI double by Jeff Blickman. They got two more runs in the third when Jimmy Gallagher scored on a passed ball and Javier Socorro hit an RBI single.<br>

Maryland got one run each in the eighth and ninth innings.<br>

Maryland starter Brett Tidball (1-3) took the loss, allowing four runs on six hits in 2.2 innings pitched.<br>

Murray led the Blue Devils on the afternoon, going 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Socorro and Blickman both went 2-for-4 with an RBI while Matt Williams was 2-for-5 with a run scored.<br>
