Clemson increases football ticket prices

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) It will cost Clemson fans more to see Tiger football games this season.<br> <br> The school said the seven-game season ticket package for this fall will be $299, up from $225 for the Tigers&#39; six games this past season.<br> <br> The average price for next season will be $42.70 a game. That&#39;s an increase of $5 per game over last year&#39;s season ticket prices.<br> <br> Bill D&#39;Andrea, Clemson&#39;s senior associate athletic director for external affairs, said $24 of the season-ticket price for members of IPTAY, the school&#39;s athletic booster group, will go to the WestZone project at Death Valley. D&#39;Andrea says the money will help with the next phase of the project, which includes coaches&#39; offices, a strength facility, meeting rooms and training and rehab rooms.<br> <br> The most expensive single-game ticket will be $55 for South Carolina, scheduled for Nov. 25 the Saturday after Thanksgiving.<br> <br> Other individual game prices are $48 for Georgia Tech (Oct. 21); $42 for North Carolina (Sept. 23), Maryland (Nov. 4) and North Carolina State (Nov. 11); and $35 for Florida Atlantic (Sept. 2) and Louisiana Tech (Sept. 30).<br> <br> (Copyright 2006 by The Associated Press.
