Man arrested in stabbing death of 79-year-old

<p>A young man who served a prison sentence for attacking a 70-year-old man now faces a murder charge in the death of a 79-year-old retired real estate agent who was stabbed to death in his home, officials said Friday.</p><p>Corrie Thomas Denby, 29, was arrested Thursday afternoon at an Albany convenience store after investigators recovered the victim's stolen car in another part of town.</p><p>Denby was jailed on a murder charge in the death of Pat Murphy, whose body was discovered Wednesday by his housekeeper. Officials believe he had been killed several days earlier.</p><p>Rodney Wall, assistant special agent in charge of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Americus office, said Denby could face additional charges as the investigation unfolds. Denby and Murphy may have lived in the same neighborhood and investigators are trying to determine if they knew each other, officials said.</p><p>Denby was released from prison in 2004 after serving three-years and three months for attacking a 70-year-old Lee County man and stealing his car, officials said.</p>
