ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) James Shuler scored 23 points to lead Winthrop past Charleston Southern 76-59 Saturday.<br>

The Big South matchup was the second in two weeks for these foes but the outcome was much the same. Shuler also scored 23 in a 79-61 win over the Buccaneers on Jan 16.<br>

Torrell Martin scored 19 for Winthrop Saturday, hitting 5-of-7 from the floor and 5-of-5 from the free-throw line.<br>

Guard Chris Moore scored 20 points to lead Charleston Southern (7-12, 2-6), hitting 7-of-14 from the field.<br>

Winthrop (13-5, 7-1) extended its lead to 15 with about 5 minutes left to play when a long two by Terrell Brown broke a four-minute Buccaneer drought. Charleston Southern got as close as 12 late, but free throws and a three-pointer by Martin kept the Buccaneers at bay.<br>
