Paper machine worker killed at plant

<p>A man who worked at a Rome paper mill was killed on the job Sunday, apparently after being dragged into a machine.</p><p>Kevin Ross Green, 49, was found dead at about 6 a.m. by co-workers at the Temple-Inland linerboard mill, where he'd worked for 30 years.</p><p>Green was killed by the mill's No. 2 paper machine.</p><p>Tony Cooper, chief deputy coroner, said Green was likely trying to repair a rope on a pulley and was dragged into the machine's large, heavy rollers.</p><p>"It appears he was trying to replace one of the ropes when he became entangled in the rope, and was pulled through the rollers," Cooper said.</p><p>An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday at a state crime lab in Summerville.</p><p>___</p><p>HASH(0x1cd97fc)</p>
