Hall planners to consider 171-lot subdivision

GAINESVILLE - A 171-lot subdivision near Flowery Branch is due for consideration by the Hall County Planning Commission Monday.

The 115-acre site fronts on both Lights Ferry and Conner Roads.

Gilleland/Merritt, the developers, have told residents of the
area theirs will be a planned residential community "of the
highest quality" and will enhance the property values of the
surrounding area.

Also on the agenda: plans for a shopping center on Gillsville Highway near Harmony Church Road which include office/retail spaces, a grocery store, car wash, and self-storage units. The commission will consider two requests regarding that project, one for the rezoning of eight acres and the other for the rezoning of 25 acres.
