<p>Tulsa hired former Georgia Tech assistant John Bargfeldt as its head softball coach on Tuesday, athletic director Judy MacLeod said.</p><p>Bargfeldt, 49, spent one season with the Yellow Jackets in 2003-04 and worked primarily with pitchers and catchers. He's also spent 22 seasons coaching at the high-school and middle-school levels and three seasons as an assistant coach at Anderson (Ind.) University.</p><p>Bargfeldt was a 31st round selection by the Chicago Cubs in the 1977 amateur baseball draft and won a silver medal with the American Softball Association's national fast-pitch team in 1991.</p>
