JEFFERSON - A Jackson County man has been ordered to serve a three-year federal prison sentence on charges of possession of child pornography.
Leonard Herbert Shannon of Jefferson must also serve 20 years of supervised release, pay a $4,000 fine and undergo a federal sex treatment program.
Shannon was accused of using the Internet to send images of child porn to a minor in south Georgia in late 2003.
Raids on Shannon's two homes in Jefferson and Dawsonville turned up 90 computer images of child pornography, according to prosecutors.
