Governor's grandson born in Gainesville

GAINESVILLE - Governor Perdue's fourth grandchild - a boy - was born in Gainesville Sunday.

Jake Perdue was born at 8:38 a.m. at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, weighing 7 pounds, one ounce.

He is the first child of Rev. Jim Perdue and his wife Stephanie of Cumming. The new mom teaches school in Forsyth County.
