ATLANTA - The state Public Service Commission has rejected an appeal from the natural gas supplier for Gainesville and Oakwood of a rate hike decision issued last month.
Atmos Energy was approved for a $345,505 increase after asking for $4.1 million. It then filed an appeal which was heared Tuesday in Atlanta.
Atmos customers are facing only about a $.32 increase in their monthly bills based on the $345,505 granted the company. That compares to $4.52 a month under what Atmos was requesting.
