Speed limit, noise ordinances in the works

CLARKESVILLE - The Habersham County Commission has approved a speed zone ordinance for all subdivision streets and roads that are a part of the county road system.

Under the new ordinance, the speed limit will be 25 mph on all subdivision roads and streets that have been accepted into the county.

The county staff is also working on a speed hump policy which is expected to be ready for consideration by the commission early next month.

The commission is also considering a noise control ordinance.
