Two men missing after boat hits an anchored shrimp boat

<p>Two men were missing Monday after their boat ran into an anchored shrimping boat late Sunday night.</p><p>Mathew Cason, 20, and Dan Friest, 17, were thrown off the 26-foot-boat at the mouth of the Savannah River.</p><p>Two others on the boat, William Cason and Joseph Alexander Jr., were rescued soon after the 11 p.m. accident. Chatham County police said the two were "badly injured" and were taken to Memorial Health University Medical Center. Their conditions were not immediately unknown.</p><p>Investigators said William Cason, 24, was driving the boat and that speed and alcohol played a role in the crash.</p><p>Local and state officials have joined the Coast Guard's crews and helicopter in the search for the two missing men.</p><p>The shrimp boat, Captain Van, was anchored in a proper area, said Dana Warr, a Coast Guard spokesman. He said shrimp boat workers normally work at odd hours, and anchor at night or in the early morning.</p><p>The shrimp boat's crewmembers notified the Tybee Police Department of the collision, who in turn called the Coast Guard.</p>
