David Meadows named publisher of Dodge City Daily Globe

<p>David B. Meadows has been named publisher of the Dodge City Daily Globe, a Morris Communications Co. daily newspaper in Dodge City, Kan.</p><p>Meadows will start on Sept. 7. He succeeds Terry G. Cochran, said William S. Morris IV, the company's president and chief executive officer.</p><p>Meadows is currently the general manager of The Topeka Capital-Journal, another Morris newspaper in Kansas.</p><p>He joined the company in 1994 as a prepress manager at the Savannah Morning News, and held several jobs there before taking over as general manager at the Capital-Journal in 2002.</p><p>Prior to working for Morris, Meadows spent 10 years with Gannett Co. Inc.</p><p>Morris publishes 26 daily, 12 nondaily and 23 free community newspapers in the United States.</p>
