Georgia's English wins 13-14 group at Future Masters

DOTHAN, ALABAMA - Harris English of Moultrie, Ga., shot a 1-under-par 69 Tuesday to win the 13-14 age group at the Future Masters golf tournament.<br>

English finished the three-round tournament at the Dothan Country Club with a 54-hole total of 206, which is 4-under par.<br>
<br>
Will Kropp of Edmond, Okla. followed with a 70 and 208 total for second place, and Matthew Giles of New South Wales, Australia finished third after shooting a 69 for a total 210.<br>
<br>
The 11-12 age group was won by Cory Whitsett of Houston who shot a 66 Tuesday to finish with a total 209. Whitsett, who began the final round trailing by four strokes, came back to tie Talor Gooch of Midwest City, Okla. and beat him on the third hole of a sudden-death playoff. Will Jones of Rome, Ga. followed with 71 and a total 217.<br>

In the 10-and-under group, Jimmy Beck of Columbus, Ga., claimed the title after shooting a 35 for a two-round total 69.<br>
<br>
Robby Shelton of Wilmer, Ala., finished second with 41 and a total 74 and Taylor McCullum of Hoover, Ala., took third place after shooting a 39 over nine holes for a total 75.<br>
<br>
The first round of play in the 15-16 and 17-18 age divisions will begin Thursday at the Highland Oaks Golf Course.
