Georgia Music Hall of Fame heads to Atlanta airport

<p>Some travelers passing through Atlanta's sprawling airport soon will have some famous duds to gaze at on their way to the gates.</p><p>Cowboy boots worn by Alan Jackson, a leather jacket signed by the two members of OutKast, even a silk jacket worn by the late Ray Charles are going on display at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.</p><p>The Georgia Music Hall of Fame, which has struggled to attract big crowds to its Macon home despite Georgia's rich music heritage, is hoping a high-profile display at Hartsfield will boost visits.</p><p>"Our idea was how to get maximum exposure for the museum," said spokeswoman Jessica Walden-Griner.</p><p>A 300-foot-long display, which will be installed during late-night hours starting Wednesday, will include highlights from the museum collection.</p><p>Included in the exhibit are Jackson's boots, the OutKast jacket and a vest worn by Jerry Reed in the movie "Smokey and the Bandit." A guitar from the folk-rock duo Indigo Girls will be there, as will items belonging to Otis Redding, Lena Horne, the Allman Brothers Band, James Brown and Little Richard.</p><p>The exhibit will be finished within a week and will stay up until July 2005.</p>
