Child porn images found on principal's computer

<p>Fulton County school officials have begun proceedings to dismiss a principal accused of child molestation, after they found pornographic images of children on his work computer.</p><p>Michael Wayne Fox, 54, principal of Spalding Drive Elementary School, was arrested for allegedly molesting a 12-year-old boy last Saturday in a Northlake Mall restroom.</p><p>School officials did not cite Fox's arrest as a reason for possible dismissal.</p><p>Vicki Warren, interim chief human resources officer, wrote in a letter to Fox that the pornographic images found on his computer violated school policy and state law.</p><p>"You have used the personal computer owned by Fulton County school district and issued to you to access pornographic material on the Internet," the letter stated. "You have downloaded pornographic images, some of which depict children onto this computer."</p><p>Fox's attorney, Bernard Brody, could not be reached for comment Friday but previously has said his client is "100 percent innocent."</p><p>Fox, a 30-year employee of the school system, has been in DeKalb County Jail since his arrest last Wednesday. He remains on paid leave pending the outcome of the dismissal hearing.</p><p>School officials have turned over the computer to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.</p><p>___</p><p>HASH(0x286f9c8)</p>
