Georgia Tech 8, Clemson 4

<p>Micah Owings and Clifton Remole each drove in two runs to back the solid pitching of Brian Burks, and Georgia Tech won its 13th straight with an 8-4 victory over Clemson on Sunday.</p><p>The Yellow Jackets (34-17, 15-5 Atlantic Coast Conference) also have won 13 in a row in the conference and stayed percentage points behind leader Virginia (40-11, 18-6), which completed its ACC schedule with a sweep of Wake Forest. Georgia Tech must win all three games at Maryland next weekend to win the regular-season title.</p><p>Burks (6-5) allowed three runs on eight hits in six-plus innings, and Nick Wagner pitched 2 2-3 scoreless innings for his second save. Owings, Remole, Steven Blackwood, Mike Nickeas and Jake Hall all had two hits.</p><p>Kris Harvey went 2-for-5 with two RBIs for the Tigers (32-21, 12-9), and Lou Santangelo hit his team-leading 15th home run. Tyler Lumsden (3-3) gave up five runs on seven hits in 5 2-3 innings.</p><p>Clemson closed it to 5-4 in the seventh on a solo shot by Garrick Evans and an RBI double by Harvey, but Georgia Tech pulled way with three runs in the bottom half. Remole had a two-run single and pinch-hitter Whit Robbins drove in a run with a sacrifice fly.</p>
