Hall moving ahead with jail plans

GAINESVILLE - Hall County officials are moving ahead with plans for construction of a new county jail.The county has begun advertising for a project manager.

Funding for the project was included in the March 2 Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax referendum.

County commission chairman Gary Gibbs said then that the county wouldn't waste any time moving on with the next step in the process.

Bid proposals from would-be project managers are due May 4.
