By by Ken Stanford
GAINESVILLE - The twelfth and final in a series of public meetings on the Comprehensive Land Use Plan for Gainesville and Hall County will be held Wednesday.

The session will provide a chance for public discussion of all Comprehensive Plan elements: Future Land Use, Population, Housing, Economic Development, Natural and Cultural Resources, Transportation, Community Facilities, and Intergovernmental Coordination.

This is the final public forum scheduled prior to the required transmittal hearings in April.

Local officials must send a final draft of the plan to the state later this year.

A copy of the final draft elements as well as the proposed Future Land Use Maps to be discussed at this meeting have been made available for review through the website addresses listed below, the Development Services building at 440 Prior Street, and the following library locations: Hall County Library Headquarters downtown, Clermont Branch Library, East Hall Branch and Special Needs Library, Blackshear Place Branch Library, and Murrayville Branch Library.
