GAINESVILLE - The Gainesville Police Department has designated six locations where officers are giving away gun locks as part of a nationwide child safety campaign.
The locks are being distributed at police headquarters on Jesse Jewell Parkway; municipal court on E.E. Butler Parkway; and, the Lakeshore Mall, Atlanta Street, Harrison Square, and Melrose police precincts.
The Child Safe Project rolled into town last Thursday and the locks are being distributed by all police agencies in Hall County.
