GAINESVILLE - Shortly before noon Thursday, crews from the Gainesville Public
Utilities Department discovered an overflow on a sewer line in the 1700 block of Dawsonville Highway.
The dislocated line was repaired and the area cleaned up by 1:30 p.m., city officials said.
Public Utility officials estimated an overflow of approximately 20,000 gallons over the past few days.
Hall County Environmental Health and the Georgia Environmental Protection Division were notified, according to city officials.
