<p>A Waycross man has pleaded guilty to murdering a social worker and was sentenced to life.</p><p>Michael Nails, 23, had been charged with malice murder in the death of Katherine Benton in October 2001.</p><p>Nails entered the guilty plea Friday in Ware Superior Court. He was then sentenced to life without the possibility of parole, said Rick Currie, district attorney for the Waycross Judicial Circuit.</p><p>Nails also pleaded guilty to kidnapping, armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, Currie said.</p><p>Benton was killed Oct. 1, 2001.
