Rodeo bull jumps into crowd, injures 10

<p>A rodeo bull jumped a fence into the audience Friday, sending two people to the hospital and injuring eight others.</p><p>The bull jumped into one of the box seats in an arena at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter at around 10 p.m., as 4,000 people watched the final rodeo event of the night, said venue spokeswoman Michele Treptow.</p><p>He just up and jumped up there for whatever reason. Its just a freak accident, said Treptow, who was seated across the arena from the incident.</p><p>The rodeo staff immediately secured the bull and removed it from the arena.</p><p>Emergency medical technicians on site and were able to take care of the injured. After a brief pause in the action, the rodeo resumed.</p><p>Two people were taken to the hospital for minor injuries, Treptow said.</p><p>The Barnes Rodeo Company, which put on the event, told officials that this is the first time in 55 years that a bull jumped a fence in an arena, Treptow said.</p><p>___</p><p>Information from: The Macon Telegraph</p>
