Oliver, Powell, Mack to be sworn-in next week

GAINESVILLE - Two new Hall County Commissioners and a re-elected member of the board will be sworn in next week in a ceremony in downtown Gainesville.

Chairman-elect Tom Oliver, Commissioner Deborah Mack and Commissioner-elect Billy Powell will take their oaths of office at 5:30 Tuesday in the old State Court Courtroom in the Hall County Courthouse Annex.

Judge J. D. Smith of Gainesville, a member of the Georgia Court of Appeals, will preside, and Judges Andrew Fuller, John Girardeau and Charles Wynne will administer the oaths of office.

Oliver, Mack and Powell begin four-year terms on January 1.
