Tech beats Kennesaw St. 80-60 in a college basketball exhabition game

ATLANTA (AP) B.J. Elder scored 16 points and Jarrett Jack added 14 points and nine assists to lead Georgia Tech, last year's NCAA national runnerup, to an 80-60 victory over Kennesaw State in its first exhibition game on Saturday.<br>

The Yellow Jackets outscored the defending Division II national champions 36-13 over the last 13:15 of the first half to take a 51-28 lead.<br>

Tech's biggest lead was 74-43 with 5:56 to play before Kennesaw State rallied with 10 consecutive points.<br>
<br>
Rey Luque led the Owls with 20 points.<br>
<br>
Luke Schenscher added 12 ponts for the Yellow Jackets.
