Collins Hill wins OT thriller

COLLINS HILL - Unbelievable score. Unbelievable victory. Unbelievable feeling.<br> <br> That was the trifecta for Collins Hill in one of the craziest games Gwinnett County has ever seen.<br> <br> The Eagles endured seven overtimes, more than 300 passing yards and one final two-point conversion attempt by South Cobb to post a 70-68 win in the first round of the Class AAAAA state playoffs.<br> <br> ``It&#39;s all a blur,&#39;&#39; Collins Hill coach Larry Sherrill said. ``I&#39;ve never seen anything like it.&#39;&#39;<br> <br> It was the first home playoff game in Collins Hills history.<br> <br> Brandon Jones, who completed 16-of-32 passes for 254 yards and four touchdowns, threw a 15-yard TD pass to Nick Tedder to give Collins Hill a 70-62 lead for the first half of the seventh overtime.<br> <br> But Michael Brown, who ran for 177 yards on 31 carries, responded with an 11-yard run to set up a two-point conversion attempt. The Collins Hill defense got pressure on Kenny McKinley and his pass was knocked down by Peyton to give the Eagles (10-1) the victory.<br> <br> Peyton, who had nine catches for 142 yards, scored his only touchdown to tie the game at 28 with 26.6 seconds left in regulation, forcing overtime.<br> <br> Rock Robinson, who had all four scores in overtime, finished with 212 yards on 41 carries for Collins Hill.<br> <br> Michael Hann had 11 catches for 267 yards for South Cobb.<br> <br> Both teams combined for 18 touchdowns and more than 1,000 offensive yards.
