County wants to buy large tract of land on Union Church Road

GAINESVILLE - Attempting to dispel rumors that have surfaced the past few days, the head of Eagle Ranch says neither he nor his board of directors has done anything to &#34;initiate or encourage&#34; an effort by Hall County county to acquire - through condemnation, if necessary - a large tract of land near Eagle Ranch.<br> <br> Eddie Staub says he was contacted by a county commissioner a couple of weeks ago about the possibility of the county acquiring the property, which is next door to Eagle Ranch, as a &#34;greenspace park.&#34;<br> <br> Staub says he told Deborah Lynn he would be in favor of the proposal, noting that Eagle Ranch has attempted &#34;for the past several years to acquire a portion of this same property as a buffer to encroaching development...&#34;<br> <br> The Brazell family property is located on Union Church Road. <br>
