Valdosta St. whips West Alabama

VALDOSTA - Tyran Robinson ran for 131 yards and two touchdowns in the final 20 minutes that enabled Valdosta State to overcome a 17-10 deficit for a 34-17 victory over West Alabama on Saturday.<br> <br> The Blazers (6-1, 6-0 Gulf South Conference) scored the final 24 points in the game, including the scoring runs of 14 and 17 yards by Robinson.<br> <br> Fabian Walker&#39;s 3-yard pass to Raymond Thomas early in the fourth quarter and Will Rhody&#39;s 32-yard field goal with 6:09 left wrapped up the late rally by Valdosta State. Rhody also had a 39-yard field goal in the second quarter.<br> <br> West Alabama (1-7, 1-5) had built its 17-10 leads on scoring runs of 10 yards by Laramie Cook and 14 yards by Marcus Rose along with a 32-yard field goal by Tonya Butler.<br> <br> It was Valdosta State&#39;s 22nd victory in 23 games against the Tigers.
