MACON - Fans of the Macon Peaches minor league baseball team saw a pretty unusual game Sunday. It was silent because thieves broke in and stole the public address equipment and CD players.
So there was no music or player introductions at the game against the Pensacola Pelicans. But some fans actually liked the old-fashioned quiet game.
The break-in happened overnight Saturday. Police say the thieves also broke into the ticket kiosk and went through the money boxes, but the boxes were empty.
The value of the missing items was NOT immediately known. The prowlers got in by cutting a lock on a third base side gate.
