DENVER - Atlanta Braves outfielder Gary Sheffield and manager Bobby Cox were ejected in the first inning tonight after arguing a called third strike in a game against Colorado. <br>

Sheffield was called out by home plate umpire Matt Hollowell on a pitch that appeared to be on the inside corner. <br>
<br>
Sheffield argued and was ejected by Hollowell, who then also ejected Cox after the manager came out to argue and kicked the helmet Sheffield had laid on the plate. <br>
<br>
It was Cox's eighth ejection of the season.
