Riverbend pastor leaving

GAINESVILLE - Rev. Bucky Kennedy, pastor of Riverbend Baptist Church in Gainesville, announced his resignation Sunday night.

Kennedy told his congregation he has accepted a call to pastor the First Baptist Church in Vidalia.

Rev. Kennedy says he'll preach his last sermon as pastor at Riverbend on September 7. He has pastored the church for nine years.
