Stotts interviews for Milwaukee job

Atlanta Hawks coach Terry Stotts wants to return to Milwaukee, where he served as an assistant under former Bucks George Karl. <br> <br> Stotts interviewed with general manager Larry Harris for several hours Wednesday. <br> <br> In a telephone interview from Milwaukee&#39;s Mitchell International Airport before flying back to Atlanta Thursday, Stotts said, ``I&#39;m glad I met with Larry and I thought it went well.&#39;&#39; <br> <br> Stotts said he didn&#39;t want to elaborate on the meeting because he didn&#39;t want to say something that would be construed as campaigning for the job through the media. <br> <br> But he reiterated his desire to return to Milwaukee, where he worked for four years under Karl after spending five years as his assistant in Seattle. <br> <br> The 45-year-old Stotts joined Atlanta&#39;s staff last year and took over for Lon Kruger as the Hawks&#39; coach on December 26. <br> <br> Stotts&#39; status in Atlanta, where he went 24-31, is unclear as prospective owner David McDavid negotiates with AOL Time Warner on the purchase of the team. Stotts said he hasn&#39;t heard one way or the other about his future with the Hawks. <br> <br> Harris said Sunday he would not comment on the team&#39;s coaching search while it is in progress. The search is expected to last another week to ten days.
