Atlanta Hawks coach Terry Stotts wants to return to Milwaukee, where he served as an assistant under former Bucks George Karl.
Stotts interviewed with general manager Larry Harris for several hours Wednesday.
In a telephone interview from Milwaukee's Mitchell International Airport before flying back to Atlanta Thursday, Stotts said, ``I'm glad I met with Larry and I thought it went well.''
Stotts said he didn't want to elaborate on the meeting because he didn't want to say something that would be construed as campaigning for the job through the media.
But he reiterated his desire to return to Milwaukee, where he worked for four years under Karl after spending five years as his assistant in Seattle.
The 45-year-old Stotts joined Atlanta's staff last year and took over for Lon Kruger as the Hawks' coach on December 26.
Stotts' status in Atlanta, where he went 24-31, is unclear as prospective owner David McDavid negotiates with AOL Time Warner on the purchase of the team. Stotts said he hasn't heard one way or the other about his future with the Hawks.
Harris said Sunday he would not comment on the team's coaching search while it is in progress. The search is expected to last another week to ten days.
