Clinch County wins Class A state baseball championship

BREMEN - Rance Morgan hit three home runs and had eight RBI's through both games of a doubleheader as Clinch County defeated Bremen 11-0 and 12-2 to win the Class A state championship.<br>

Morgan went 6-for-7 and scored four runs to back up the strong pitching of Rhett Barber and Rick Corbitt for Clinch County's first baseball title since 1992, when the Panthers completed a run of five championships in seven years.<br>
<br>
Barber had a no-hitter until the seventh inning of the opener.<br>
<br>
Corbitt pitched 5 and two-thirds innings of shutout ball Tuesday night before Bremen put together four-straight hits to cut the Clinch lead to 9-2.
