Sims FSU-bound

TALLAHASSEE, FLORIDA - The teenager many consider to be the nation&#39;s top football recruit announced Wednesday that he&#39;s staying home to attend Florida State, where his father played two decades ago. <br> <br> Ernie Sims III, a 225-pound running back and linebacker from North Florida Christian High School in Tallahassee, during a press conference. He had been considering the Seminoles, Auburn and Georgia. <br> <br> Sims has also said he wants to keep his high school uniform number, which has been 34. Florida State has retired that number because it belonged to star receiver Ron Sellers, but Sellers said its OK if Sims uses it. <br> <br> Sims&#39; mother Alice was a track star at Florida State, where his father Ernie Sims Jr. played for coach Bobby Bowden from 1977 through 1981.
