ROME - About 40 members of the 342nd Adjutant General Company (Postal) Army Reserve unit have been called to active duty beginning Friday as part of the country's mobilization for possible war against Iraq. <br>

The soldiers will be organized into three detachments to provide postal service support to individuals and units in assigned areas of deployment. <br>

The mobilized detachments will report to Fort Benning and Fort Stewart to train for their transistion to active duty. A farewell ceremony was planned for Sunday at their Army Reserve Center in Rome, according to the 81st Regional Support Command in Birmingham, Ala.
