Rome reserve unit called up

ROME - About 40 members of the 342nd Adjutant General Company (Postal) Army Reserve unit have been called to active duty beginning Friday as part of the country&#39;s mobilization for possible war against Iraq. <br> <br> The soldiers will be organized into three detachments to provide postal service support to individuals and units in assigned areas of deployment. <br> <br> The mobilized detachments will report to Fort Benning and Fort Stewart to train for their transistion to active duty. A farewell ceremony was planned for Sunday at their Army Reserve Center in Rome, according to the 81st Regional Support Command in Birmingham, Ala.
