Oglethorpe County teacher charged with molesting student

<p>An Oglethorpe County High School teacher was arrested Wednesday on charges he molested a 15-year-old girl who is a student at the school.</p><p>Patrick Sean Glancy, 35, of Crawford is charged with two counts of aggravated child molestation, three counts of child molestation and a single count of enticing a child for indecent purposes, according to Oglethorpe County Sheriff Jason Lowe.</p><p>Glancy was arrested Wednesday afternoon by investigators from the sheriffs office and the Athens office of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.</p><p>Glancy resigned his position as an English teacher on Monday, the day after allegations surfaced, Lowe said.</p><p>Glancy remained in the county jail Wednesday after bond was denied, according to Lowe.</p>
