STATESBORO - Elton Nesbitt scored 18 points in 25 minutes and 12 of 14 players cracked the scoring column in Georgia Southern's season-opening 94-55 rout of North Georgia Friday night.<br>

Nesbitt hit 8 of 12 shots, including two 3-pointers.<br>

Bryce Brickhouse led North Georgia (4-1) with 10 points.<br>

The Eagles built a 44-31 halftime lead and steadily pulled away in the second half. Jean Francois had 13 points and 10 rebounds and reserve Frank Bennett added 11 points. Courtney Joseph helped the Eagles to a 62-35 edge on the boards with 11 rebounds.
