ATLANTA - The Atlanta Thrashers acquired goaltender Jani Hurme from the Carolina Hurricanes Friday for a fourth-round pick in the 2004 NHL entry draft, according to Thrashers general manager Don Waddell. <br>

Hurme was selected by Carolina from the Florida Panthers earlier Friday in the NHL waiver draft. <br>

The Thrashers also selected left wing Serge Aubin from Colorado and two players from the New York Rangers left wing Ronald Petrovicky and defenseman Shawn Heins in the waiver draft. <br>

Hurme, 28, posted a 4-11-6 record for Florida last season.
