(Atlanta-AP) -- The Reverend Bernice King was only five years old when her father, civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Junior, was assassinated.
She grew up distanced from her father's struggles, she says, but grounded by his legacy. Now, as a preacher and speaker, King works to help a new generation of black youth reconnect with their history.
King continues her work on an upcoming episode of the TV court show, ``Judge Hatchett,'' which features King counseling a troubled black teen involved in drugs and prostitution.
Judge Glenda Hatchett, a former chief presiding judge of the Fulton County Juvenile Court, has a reputation for unconventional judgements, often focused on reforming troubled youth. Her show, now in its third season, features an intervention program that allows kids to spend time with public figures.
