MARIETTA - A woman is dead Monday morning and seven others hurt after a multi-vehicle collision in east Cobb County. <br>

Police say five children were among those injured Sunday night. <br>

Cobb County police said the wreck happened about 9 p.m. on Roswell Road near the Avenue of East Cobb shopping center. <br>
<br>
Authorities said a pickup truck traveling east tried to make a U-turn, sideswiped a Ford Winstar van and crashed into a Honda Odyssey van. <br>
<br>
The driver of the Honda died at the scene. Four children - also in the van - were seriously injured. Police said another infant - in the Winstar - also was injured. <br>

The drivers of the other two vehicles were hurt but names of the victims have not been released. <br>
<br>
Police are investigating the wreck. Its cause remains undetermined.
