EATONTON - The religious leader accused of having sex with children in his United Nuwaubian Nation of Moors has pleaded guilty to both state and federal charges. <br>

Malachi York pleaded guilty to 77 counts of sex crimes with children at in Putnam County Superior Court. York signed a plea agreement that recommends a 15-year sentence in prison. York also will serve 35 years probation as an admitted sex offender. <br>

A formal sentencing date has not been announced. <br>

York also pleaded guilty to two charges Thursday in federal court in Macon. <br>
<br>
He is expected to serve 15 years if the federal court accepts the negotiated agreement that led to York's guilty plea. <br>
<br>
Both 15-year sentences would be served concurrently. <br>
<br>
York -- who claims to be from another planet -- moved his group ten years ago from upstate New York to a 476-acre farm in Putnam County. Authorities say the group built pyramids and Egyptian-style buildings without proper permits. At times, as many as 150 people apparently lived on the farm.
