AUGUSTA, Ga. - An Augusta boy drowned Sunday when he fell off a dock into the Savannah River.<br>

Ten-year-old Quatavius Walker was throwing rocks into the river with two friends at about 4 p.m. when he fell off the dock near downtown Augusta. Walker went under in the 20-foot waters and was found below the surface about 50 minutes later.<br>

"When he threw a rock, I think he slipped and fell in the water," said Fire Chief Michael Weathers.<br>
<br>
Walker was brought to the Medical College of Georgia Hospital and pronounced dead at 5:15 p.m.<br>
