ATLANTA - Braves outfielders Andruw Jones and Chipper Jones didn't start against the Montreal Expos Sunday because of injuries.
Andruw Jones was given the day off after being hit on the helmet with a pitch Saturday night. He had puffiness around his left eye and cheek. He says the helmet took the brunt of the blow and the ball didn't hit his head.
Chipper Jones was a late scratch from the lineup. He continued to be bothered by a stiff neck that also caused him to miss Saturday's game. The Braves cleanup hitter was injured making a diving catch in Friday night's 5-0 victory over the Expos. His head snapped back as he made the catch, and several forms of treatment -- including traction -- didn't ease the pain.
